Baby schedule chart | Infant feeding chart| baby food chart

You might be surprised to know that there are guidelines for every little care you deliver on the child; that could be dressing, sleeping, bathing, waking, feeding, anything and everything related to him needs to be put in a routine. To make the baby habituated to certain timings; it is always suggested to plan a schedule. Initially it might sound tough to handle all the things; but once you follow the agenda everything would fall in place.

The feeding plan should be a combination of feeding, naps, and wake up time so that the infant is put in to the habit of sleeping in the nights from an early age. Here are some to do list helping you and the baby to get into a routine.

First two weeks of child’s birth; see to it that the baby takes full feeding each time you feed. Generally, it is suggested to feed the baby every 2-3 hours. But it is better to feed the infant when it is hungry.

During Two to four week; teach the baby to nurse well. During these weeks; baby should be fed every 2-3 hours. This practice would help in milk production in the mother. It is also advised to give eight to ten feedings within 24 hours. The feeding should be started in the morning enabling both mother and baby to fall in the routine.

During Five to eight week; baby should be fed every 2.5 – 3.5 hours that includes late evening and any time in the night. Night time feeding should be done without leaving any wake time for the infant. This kind of routine will teach baby to sleep in the night and wake up in the morning time. During this week 7 or more feedings are required.

By this time; the newborn would be adapted to the schedule. Rest of the weeks; baby sleeping hours should be pulled to 9-10 hours at a stretch with 5-7 feedings in between. This pattern helps to regulate baby’s sleeping time.

Bearing a baby might put you into many schedules or time tables, but I bet every moment spend in thought of the little one lets out pleasure.
